I like to start working by 8am, do my most thinking work by noon. I find I have the most energy before noon. Then meetings and research in the afternoon. Sometimes I get the urge to program after 3pm, so I go for it.

I like to be able to ask any question, even if I feel like it is something I should know. If I can have a team that is collaborative and non-judgemental, that is best.
How do you maintain a work-life balance?
I don't like to stay up late. I try to get enough sleep and a bit of exercise so I am healthy for work. I also have dogs and a family that help to take my mind away from work to avoid burnout. I think it is really important and I owe it to my employer to not get burned out.
Aside from work, what are you passionate about?
I have a family, we raised 5 kids. We did a good enough job where they all went to college. I also like side-project. Like the meteor camera videoes to youtube.
